​Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Armadillo Technical Institute. We are a small school made mighty by the efforts of dedicated staff, students, and volunteers. If you have time and talents that could contribute to the success of our students we’d love to hear from you. Our most urgent needs are:

• Grant Writing (Development) – we are always in search of funding to support the innovative programs our students deserve. Experience in successful grant writing and non-profit work would be most helpful.
• Maintenance – basic repairs to address wear and tear on the building. Skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc would be helpful
• Tutoring – Our GED program needs tutors to help our students learn math, language arts (reading/writing), science, and social studies. Experience in teaching (formal or informal) and at least one of these subjects required. Our MATH program is always looking for tutors, especially those who can help with Algebra 1 and fundamental math skills.
• Board of Directors – our Board of Directors currently has 1 open position. Experience in small business, construction, law, development, or non-profit work will be particularly helpful. Passion for alternative education and a deeply held belief that all students are able to learn, grow, and achieve goals are essential. Click here to learn more or apply to join our Board of Directors.​
