Connections Cafe
Our ACCS Connections Café is a space for students on-campus who don’t have internet access and/or those that need a quiet place to complete school work. Unfortunately, we cannot provide teacher instruction for students at this time, but a staff member will be supervising the students.
ACCS Connections Café Hours are
10:00am-4:00pm Wednesday & Friday
Resources Available at ACCS Connections Café:
WIFI internet
computer use
basic school supplies (pencil, notebook, ruler, etc.)
snacks (thanks to community partner such as Miller Foundation and St. Mary's Academy for supporting this)
lunch (available through Phoenix-Talent Schools at Phoenix High School 11:15-12:15)
laundry (thanks to Ausland Group and AllCare Health for sponsoring this)
toiletries such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, etc. (thanks to AllCare Health for sponsoring this)
Safety: To bring students on campus, we will be required to strictly follow all of the safety protocols for COVID-19. Violating these protocols may cause us to lose this opportunity.
Students will be required to wear a mask the entire time, and make sure that the mask covers nose and mouth at all times.
Students will be expected to socially distance (maintain at least 6 feet of distance from others) the entire time.
If students have any symptoms of COVID, they should stay home.
Students that have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or suspected of having COVID-19, should stay home.
Students can utilize the ACCS Connections Cafe Hours for all of the scheduled time or simply a portion of the scheduled time. Students do NOT have to arrive at the beginning of the session.
Once students leave the ACCS Connections Cafe, they CANNOT return until the next scheduled day.
Students can participate each day it is open.
Cold lunches are provided 11:15-12:15 at Phoenix High School down the street.
Students may bring their Chromebook or personal computer to access their classes, or may use designated computers as assigned.
Unfortunately, this is not a social time for students; it’s a time designated for school work.
Students will enter at the main office entrance. A staff member will prescreen each student at the door before bringing them into their work spot. If a line develops at the door, students will need to maintain 6 feet of distance marked by tape.
